Hi, my name is Timothy Helmer
Since 2001 I’ve been doing Graphic Design, Identity Design, UX & Digital Design. I have a broad interest in design, so that’s why since 2013 I have been organising lectures with and for creatives called Let’s Talk Design. You can read more about my engagement in the design industry below.
Over the past years I worked at several design studios and advertising agencies as a freelancer or as a fixed member of the team.
Some of them are Design is Dead/Emakina, TBWA\Designer, Flink, Act, Mr. Henry, Wundermann Thompson (These Days), King of Hearts, Act, BBDO, Prophets, Accenture Interactive (Kunstmaan), Darwin BBDO, OnlyHumans, Hotel Hungaria.
My current position is as Senior Designer at CapeRock in Amsterdam, a brand design studio with a strong motion background.

I’ve been running an online platform for creatives (portfolios, events, interviews) called Creative Network.
Interviews with the most promising Belgian creatives for Idn magazine (v15n2), I was also featured in the same issue.
2010 – 2012
Contributor at Items Magazine (NL).
2011 – 2013
Co-curated and organised 3 expositions with creatives.
Organising lectures called Let’s Talk Design (3 to 4 times a year, 20 editions so far for an audience of 150 to 200 people each edition). I organised editions in Belgium, The Netherlands & New York.
Organised 2 editions of Let’s Think Design in collaboration with Wonderland & Made.
Interview on Marketing Tribune (NL) on the subject of evaluating brand design.
Launched Creative Fair Play together with FlandersDC & Valentijn Destoop. Creative Fair Play is an initiative that pushes the industry: Seven best practices to collaborate successfully with creative entrepreneurs.
Member of the Creative Belgium Design jury.
